Most often described as a "sexy" and "sophisticated" science fiction drama, First Wave is the story of Cade Foster, a former thief who has uncovered evidence that aliens are preparing to conquer the Earth.
As he tries to unravel their plots, he faces resistance not only from extraterrestrial agents but from more earthly authorities, including a shadowy government group known as the Illuminati.
The show was created by Chris Brancato, who wrote the seminal X-Files episode "Eve." Francis Ford Coppola is executive producer.
First Wave has just finished its second season on the SCI FI Channel and is in hiatus in the United States until January 2001.
